Rovers supporters unable to attend Friday night’s friendly against Sheffield United can follow the match live with exclusive free audio commentary via iFollow Rovers.

The Championship side come to the Keepmoat Stadium in the only home friendly Rovers have prior to the start of the 2018/19 season, and for those unable to attend they can hear every minute.

Commentary will be available through the Rovers website and iFollow Rovers app, with anyone who has registered for a free account with the club’s website able to listen.

It is the first time Grant McCann has taken charge of a Rovers side at the Keepmoat Stadium, while summer signings Tom Anderson, Max Watters, Ali Crawford and Mallik Wilks will all be looking to make an impression.

Former Doncaster Free Press sports editor Peter Catt will join Club Doncaster media assistant Robbie Andrews to bring you all the updates and analysis in real-time.

Club Doncaster media manager Luke Thornhill said: “We’re really pleased to be able to offer free commentary to supporters who are unable to get to the game. We’ve put a lot of effort into improving our iFollow Rovers provision this season, with more videos than ever and additions to our live feeds.

“Overseas supporters who watch matches will now be able to benefit from commentary, as well as some on-screen graphics to keep track of the score and time of the game.

“And for fans in the UK and Ireland, we will be able to provide live streaming - including commentary - for games which take place outside the Saturday afternoon television blackout and are not selected for TV coverage. This will be available as a one-off cost of £10 per match.

“This means the home game against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday August 21 will make history as the first game streamed live to a domestic audience.”

iFollow Rovers monthly and season passes are available now, priced at £4.49 per month or £45 for the full season in the UK and Ireland.

For fans outside the UK and Ireland, season passes are the equivalent of £110 - which includes live streaming of every Sky Bet League One match except those selected for television coverage.
