Doncaster Rovers can confirm that young first team professionals Jon Maxted and Liam Wakefield have re-signed with the club.
Maxted and Wakefield, both of whom progressed through the youth set-up at Doncaster Rovers, have signed one-year deals which will see them remain in Doncaster until the end of the 2013/14 season.
The pair are expected to play a major part in Rovers newly formed development squad as the club attempts to bridge the gap between the youth set-up and the first team.
The signing of the pair further re-iterates the clubs commitment to helping the younger players at the club progress and be involved in the first team.
