Rovers strengthened their position at the top of the Sky Bet League Two table with victory at Leyton Orient.
Rovers had to battle for the three points, though, with late goals from John Marquis and Mathieu Baudry clinching victory.
Tommy Rowe had opened the scoring, with Tom Parkes levelling for the home side before Marquis put Rovers ahead and on course for victory.
Manager Darren Ferguson named an unchanged side, with Liam Mandeville returning from injury to take a place on the bench.
And Rovers had to be patient in the opening stages. Orient were bottom of the table, but were ready for a fight.
They had the first half chance, with Craig Alcock getting in a great tackle to stop Josh Koroma in his tracks.
Rovers created their first opening after 20 minutes, with Alex Cisak parrying John Marquis' header. Tommy Rowe's flicked header also went close, before he struck the opening goal after 36 minutes.
The midfielder picked up the ball on the edge of the area after a clearance and cut inside, before smashing the ball home.
Rovers pushed for a quick second, with Conor Grant's shot deflected wide.
Orient got themselves back into the game just brefore the break, with a counter-attack cooly finished by Tom Parkes.

Rovers were forced into a change at the break, with Marko Marosi coming on in place of Ian Lawlor who had taken a knock towards the end of the opening period.
Marosi had a few early touches to get into the game, but otherwise was not greatly tested.
Rovers went back into the lead after 54 minutes, and the goal was all about Marquis. The No.9 picked off a loose ball, took a few steps forward and slotted the ball into a bottom corner.
That settled any nerves for Rovers, who then set about getting a third goal.
Alfie May snatched a shot wide after a pull-back from Rowe, while Andy Williams - on for May just after his miss - also fired just over after a quick counter.
Cisak got down well to deny Williams again, before Marquis made it 3-1 by smashing the ball home after Gary McSheffrey's lay-off. And Baudry made it 4-1 with a sweet volley from McSheffrey's corner.
