Alfie Beestin has signed a new contract keeping him at Rovers until the summer of 2019.
The attacking midfielder penned a one-year deal in August to join from Tadcaster Albion, and has since made eight first-team appearances.
He said: “I’m really pleased, to get another two years is really pleasing and the pressure is off a bit.
“i feel like the gaffer wants me. He feels like I have a part to play, and I’m not here just to sit on the bench.”
Alfie made an immediate impact with a goalscoring debut in the Checkatrade Trophy in August.
He added: “It was a big game for me, I was a bit nervous but it was the most important goal I’ve ever scored.”
